MDE Group engaged RN Projects to assist them to fulfil the ICT package during the conversion of the heritage-listed Education Department building into a 6-star luxury hotel. This impressive hotel includes 192 guest rooms, opulent spa facilities, a 20-meter indoor pool, event spaces, world-class dining, and an internal courtyard retreat.
Incorporating the latest technology, such as wireless door locks and fully automated guestroom services, the scope of work completed by RN Projects included project management, solution design of the ICN, wireless network, and integration of all ICT services such as IPTV, interactive TV and casting in all guestrooms.

Challenges and Considerations
A major challenge during the project was the fact that the Education Department building is heritage-listed, which impacts the solution design and provision as the building must maintain specific aesthetics and structure to satisfy its heritage-listed status.
Another major challenge was COVID-19, which created delays and supply challenges and necessitated redesigns because specified equipment became obsolete during the lengthy construction period.
